Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia: Speaking at the official launch of the corporate business schools initiative for Sarawak, facilitated by the Global University for Lifelong Learning (GULL), YB Sharifah Hasidan Sayeed Aman Ghazali said: “The entry of the Global University for Lifelong Learning (GULL) is in line with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education to turn Malaysia into a centre of excellence for higher learning. One of the main objectives of the Ministry is to promote and cultivate a lifelong learning culture and to increase the capacity, access and participation levels of Malaysians in higher education and lifelong learning.”

| PV-GULL Launch Event, 12 November 2008 |
| On Wednesday 12 November 2008, GULL & the Entrepreneurial Development Training Centre Ltd (EDTC) Papua New Guinea, signed an MOU in the State Function Room at the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea. This marks the beginning of a collaboration to reward & certify Personal Viability (PV) students with a recognized university professional degree, mapped against the attainment of EDTC PV grades. The Governor General of Papua New Guinea, Grand Chief Sir Paulias Matane, Founding Chancellor of GULL & PV Patron was the keynote speaker & chief witness at the MOU signing ceremony. The Moderator of the United Church of Papua New Guinea The Reverend Samson Lowa, Winston Jacob, GULL Representative, Pacific Region and the EDTC Scheme of Self Reliance Board (Paul Wiau, Alison Simbe & Samuel Tam Jnr) were also present to witness this groundbreaking event. |

| GULL provides a customizable system that companies, associations, social and community groups and other organizations can use to create an ‘own brand’ corporate school, academy or institute. The purpose is to integrate learning and working in a practical, affordable way so that participants can earn recognized qualifications by addressing organizational challenges and their own learning needs. GULL Asia’s Corporate Business School (CBS) launch took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 28 April 2008. The event was hosted by the Minister of Human Resources and the Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports. |
