Cascading GULL to communities, Kenya
In 2009, Kenyan-based leaders from Compassion International, Tearfund and World Vision began their GULL journey together. They sought to experience the GULL process and to explore ways of using it in support of community development in their respective organizations. In January, 2012 the lead group completed their journey, having cascaded the GULL system to hundreds of colleagues and community volunteers during this period. - 27th Jan
Transforming communities in Uganda
20th Jan - The Pentecostal Assemblies of God operate 5,000 churches in Uganda and their holistic approach to ministry aims to address both the spiritual and physical needs of communities using a participatory evaluation process (PEP). The aim is to equip local churches to assist their communities to achieve greater self-reliance. In order to recognize the outcomes, GULL’s professional Bachelor pathway is inter-linked with PEP – providing evidence-based certification at three levels.
Community Mobilization Process, Tanzania
24th Jan - A number of African church denominations use an action learning process called church and community mobilization (CCM) to equip local churches to better serve their communities. The aim is assist the whole community to begin a journey towards greater self-reliance. To encourage participants and to recognize the personal and professional outcomes, GULL’s professional Bachelor pathway is inter-linked with CCM - providing evidence-based certification at three levels.
