A GULL doctoral group has been established for the leaders of the participating organizations in East Africa. This group will organize a cascade to community level volunteers.

GULL’s Sarawak, East Malaysia corporate business school launch took place on 19 June 2009 at the Hilton Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia. Attended by business and social entrepreneurs, companies and cooperative organizations (among others) the Right Honourable YB Sharifah Hasidan Sayeed Aman Ghazali was the official guest.

On 1 April 2009, Sandals Resorts International (SRI), the world’s leading all-inclusive resort company, began the process of integrating and implementing the GULL system in all their resorts. SRI is a major employer in five Caribbean Nations (Jamaica, St Lucia, Antigua, Turks & Caicos Islands, the Bahamas) and the aim is to provide an affordable solution for all team members so that they can learn at work.

Twelve team members at Beaches Resort & Spa, Turks & Caicos Islands (TCI) complete their GULL professional Bachelor degree on 9 March and feature on ‘4 News’ TCI Television (see homepage: ‘News’ item) and in the National press. Also features GULL’s first group in Jamaica at Sandals Negril Resort & Spa, who complete their foundation level work on 16 March.
