Tadele Asefa

Tadele AsefaPastor Tadele Asefa is National President, Ethiopia, Global University for Lifelong Learning.

Tadele prepared for a career in teaching by studying for a Diploma in Chemistry at Awassa Teachers’ Education College. He later attained a BA degree in Management from Unity University, Ethiopia, and after a period of online study, a Master’s degree in Religious Studies awarded by Nations University, USA.

Tadele worked as a high school teacher in a state school for five years and thereafter as director of a child development project operated by the Ethiopian Evangelical Church. Following this, Tadele spent three years as program supervisor for Samaritan’s Purse – an international development organization that mobilizes, equips and trains church and community leaders and facilitates HIV/AIDS prevention.

In 2008, Tadele established Eyuel Holistic Ministry (EHA) a non-profit association. EHA aims to build the capacity of church leaders, facilitates evangelism and works with disadvantaged and marginalized communities in Ethiopia. In addition to founding and directing EHA, Tadele provides pastoral services and care to prisoners and he is a member of the International Prison chaplains Association (IPCA).

Tadele believes that individual and community transformation is possible through diligent, persistent and self-directed action learning and that GULL’s philosophy is timely and relevant to the needs of all developing countries.
