Robert Lex Dilworth

Dr Robert L. (Lex) Dilworth entered the U.S. Army on graduation as a commissioned officer and advanced to the rank of brigadier general, serving as the 54th The Adjutant General of The Army, a position dating back to 1775. Lex has earned many honors, including the United States Army's highest service award, the Distinguished Service Medal (DSM). He also received four awards of the Legion of Merit. His military experience included service as the Chief of Staff of the 2nd U.S. Infantry Division in Korea during a major confrontation with North Korean forces in 1976.
Lex has an international reputation in action learning and he met Reg Revans on numerous occasions. In 2003, his book, with Verna Willis on ‘Action learning: Images and Pathways’ was published. An edited book, with Yury Boshyk and Alan Mumford on ‘Action Learning: History, Evolution and Applications’ in 2009.
