Anglican Church of Tanzania, Ruaha

There are many organizations and Governments that try to help people by establishing aid projects but when these projects come to an end, development ends too. In contrast, the Church and Community Mobilization Process (CCMP) helps participants to change their own situation – starting with their own perceptions and attitudes relating to self help. Furthermore, CCMP helps people to become courageous and inventive. They begin to use the natural resources around them. It is my view that God provides all the natural resources we need to achieve self reliance. I am very glad that GULL has recognized the role played by the Church in this process and is willing and able to recognize the extraordinary efforts of the teams of facilitators, co-facilitators and resource persons who are implementing the mobilization process.
